Job Function Descriptions
Matching the worker’s physical capabilities to the physical requirements of the job. Assesses the employee’s ability to safely perform the physical requirements of the job. EEOC and ADA compliant Job Function Descriptions™, identifying the physical requirements of designated job titles, provide the foundation for all applications of Job Function Matching®.
- Job Function Matching® for post-offer is developed to test applicants against the actual physical requirements of the job for which they are applying. The testing assures the applicant has the minimum physical capability to safely perform the job.
- Job Function Matching® for job transfer is used when an existing worker applies for a transfer into a vacant position. This assures the worker has the physical capability to perform the new job safely.
- Job Function Matching® for return-to-work is used when an existing worker is returning from a medical absence to ensure safety and appropriateness with return to a specific job or job tasks. This assures the worker has the physical capability to return to their job/jobs tasks safely.
